Malaysia's healthcare system would have collapsed by June 5 if measures were not taken, says Dr Adham

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said the nation's healthcare system would have collapsed if the lockdown was not imposed for two weeks starting from June 1.

He said the situation could happen if the daily Covid-19 cases totalled between 8,000 and 13,000.

However, the ministry had drawn up plans to address the problem by mobilising all its resources.
