As a mother-of-four holding a career as a teacher, Buyankhishig is managing an increasingly rare highwire act for women in Mongolia where pressure to have large families and chronic shortages of kindergarten places are forcing them to be stay-at-home mums. Awarded a state medal for being an "honoured mother", she bucked the trend by keeping her job after having children but only with heavy family support and investment.
