Study Suggests
Eating Mushrooms , Could Lower Cancer Risk by 45%.
A new study from Pennsylvania State University is touting the potential cancer-fighting properties of mushrooms.
The study, published in 'Advances in Nutrition,' shows that individuals who ate two medium-sized mushrooms daily...
... had a 45% lower risk of cancer
compared to those who ate
no mushrooms at all.
The research looked at 17 cancer studies from 1966 to 2020... .
... and analyzed over
19,500 cancer patients.
The team’s findings showed that people who incorporated any variety of mushrooms into their daily diets had a lower risk of cancer.
However, experts
have urged caution in
interpreting the research...
... and suggest people eat a wide variety of different fruits and vegetables to get the most benefits.
With such promising results from the study, we must include mushrooms in our everyday diet... , Fareeha Jay, UK-based Dietitian,
