NITI Aayog has made people aware of the reality regarding this viral post in social media regarding the dosage of Kovishield vaccine. Addressing the reporters, Dr VK Paul, Member (Health) NITI Aayog said that the news of Kovishield applying one dose is false. Covishield's schedule in India is 2 doses, no change has been made. It is necessary to take the second dose 12 weeks after the first dose. the government panel set up on vaccination suggested increasing the interval of the dose of Kovidshield vaccination to 12-16 weeks, which has now been accepted by the central government. According to the new rules, now a provision has been made to give the second dose after 12-16 weeks after the first dose of Kovidshield vaccination. Apart from this, recently the government has allowed lactating women to get vaccinated.

टीकाकरण को लेकर सोशल मीडिया में इन दिनों तेजी से वायरल हो रहे एक पोस्ट में दावा किया जा रहा है कि सरकार ने अब कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन लगवाने के नियमों में बड़ा बदलाव करने का फैसला किया है। अब से लोगों को कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन की दो डोज की जगह सिर्फ एक डोज ही दी जाएगी। वायरल पोस्ट के दावे के मुताबिक- 'हाल ही में वैज्ञानिकों ने एक अध्ययन के दौरान पाया है कि कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन की एक खुराक ही शरीर में पर्याप्त मात्रा में एंटीबॉडीज निर्मित कर देती है। यह एंटीबॉडीज कोरोना संक्रमण से सुरक्षा देने में पर्याप्त हैं। कोविशील्ड की एक खुराक से ही कोरोना को मात दिया जा सकता है। सोशल मीडिया में कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन की डोज को लेकर वायरल इस पोस्ट के बारे में नीति आयोग ने लोगों को वास्तविकता से रूबरू कराया है। संवाददाताओं को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ वी के पॉल,सदस्य (स्वास्थ्य) नीति आयोग ने बताया कि कोविशील्ड की एक डोज लगाने वाली खबर ग़लत है। भारत में कोविशील्ड का शिड्यूल 2 डोज का है, इसमें कोई बदलाव नहीं किया गया है। पहली डोज के 12 हफ्ते के बाद दूसरी डोज लेना जरूरी है।
