It's six months into the year and many students across the country, have yet to receive their payments from NSFAS. The scheme says it's working on the issue, and promises it will turn things around. Besides late payments, thousands of students have also been affected by funding shortfalls. Despite this, the higher education department said during its budget announcement last month, that funding for the 2021/22 financial year is set to reach more than R43 billion.
