The Bihar health department on Wednesday massively revised the Covid-19 death toll, adding about 72 per cent more fatalities, triggering a row over alleged irregularities in death figures in the state. The revision came after repeated reminders from the Patna high court which pulled up the state government over its failure in properly maintaining the record of deaths. Bihar government would present the details of the updated toll before the court today.
