रेल मंत्रालय की योजना बिहार में नालंदा जिले के पावापुरी रेलवे स्टेशन, जमुई, झाझा, सिवान और छपरा जैसे रेलवे स्टेशनों को निजी हाथों में देने की है। इस सूची में बिहार के पिछड़े इलाके के कटिहार, जोगबनी और अररिया कोर्ट जैसे स्टेशनों का नाम है तो भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कद्दावर नेता सैयद शहनवाज हुसैन से जुड़े किशनगंज का भी नाम है। यही नहीं, पूर्णिया, नौगछिया, सोनपुर, बगहा, नरकटियागंज, जयनगर, रक्सौल, खगड़िया, जैसे स्टेशनों का भी नाम है।

The Railway Ministry plans to hand over railway stations like Pawapuri railway station, Jamui, Jhajha, Siwan and Chhapra in Bihar to Nalanda district in private hands. In this list, the names of stations like Katihar, Jogbani and Araria Court of backward areas of Bihar are named, and Kishanganj, associated with BJP's stalwart leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, is also named. Not only this, stations like Purnia, Naugachia, Sonpur, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Jaynagar, Raxaul, Khagaria, are also named.
