National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog Health Member Dr VK Paul in a media briefing on June 18 said that chances of hospitalisation are 75-80% less in vaccinated individuals as suggested by study. Health Member Dr VK Paul said, “Studies show that chances of hospitalisation are 75-80% less in vaccinated individuals. The possibility of such individuals needing oxygen support is around 8% and the risk of ICU admission is only 6% in vaccinated persons.”
