Condolences poured in from athletes across the country on the demise of legendary Indian sprinter Milkha Singh who died at age of 91 due to post-COVID complications. Singh passed away at 11:30 pm on June 18 in Chandigarh. He had tested positive for COVID-19 in May this year.

महीने भर कोरोना Coronavirus से जूझने के बाद फ्लाइंग सिख Milkha Singh जिंदगी की जंग हार गए. उन्होंने शुक्रवार देर रात अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली. पद्मश्री से सम्मानित Milkha Singh 91 साल के थे। बीते दिनों ही Milkha Singh कोरोना निगेटिव हुए थे, लेकिन अचानक से उनकी तबीयत नाजुक होने लगी इसके बाद उन्हें चंडीगढ़ के PGI अस्पताल में भर्ती किया गया था. जहां उनका निधन हो गया.
