Mawya Sudan becomes IAF’s first female fighter pilot from Jammu & Kashmir

24-year-old Mawya Sudan, who hails from Lamberi village in Rajouri district of Jammu division, has become the first woman from the state to be inducted as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. She was commissioned as a fighter pilot on Saturday at the Airforce Academy in Hyderabad during the Combined Graduation parade ceremony. She is the 12th female fighter pilot in the Air Force.
