Amid continuing border tension between India and China, and face-off between Beijing and Washington over the former's territorial expansion in South China Sea, Indian and American forces are holding a two-day military drill. Indian Naval Ships (INS) Kochi and Teg, and USS Ronald Reagan, Halsey, and Shiloh are participating in the exercise during the US ships transit through the Indian Ocean. Indian Air Force and Navy fighter aircraft are also part of the drill which includes advanced air defence exercises, cross-deck helicopter operations, and anti-submarine exercises.
