'Traumatized' Britney Spears urges judge to end conservatorship
US pop singer Britney Spears addresses a Los Angeles court for the first time since the #FreeBritney movement began in 2009, urging a judge to remove her father, Jamie Spears, from his position as legal guardian of her controversial conservatorship. Spears has rarely spoken directly about the issue herself, but said her father’s ‘abusive’ care has left her ‘traumatised’, ‘angry’ and ‘depressed’.
