He returned to his homeland just before the Panchayat elections. When he came to the village, he started helping the people. After that he decided to contest the Zilla Panchayat elections. . While claiming ticket from BJP, some local leaders also protested. Despite this, got a ticket from BJP. He decided that now he will serve the public by winning the election of the post of district panchayat member.

गौरव चौधरी मेरठ के रहने वाले हैं। वो समय से जर्मनी में रहकर अपना बिजनेस कर रहे थे। अचानक उन्होंने फैसला किया कि मेरठ आकर कुछ किया जाए। पंचायत चुनाव से ठीक पहले वो वतन लौटे। गांव आए तो लोगों की मदद शुरू कर दी। उसके बाद उन्होंने जिला पंचायत चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया। । बीजेपी से टिकट की दावेदारी की तो कुछ स्थानीय नेताओं ने विरोध भी किया। बावजूद इसके बीजेपी से टिकट मिल गया। उन्होंने फैसला किया कि अब वो जि़ला पंचायत सदस्य पद का चुनाव जीतकर जनता की सेवा करेंगे
