The Monsoon Session of the Maharashtra assembly started with a major ruckus today. Maharashtra Speaker in-chair Bhaskar Jadhav has suspended 12 BJP MLAs for one year over their unruly behaviour in the House on Monday. The Opposition has in turn accused the Speaker of abusing some of the leaders during the ongoing Assembly session. Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis insisted that these are "false allegations". For OBC reservations, we are ready to sacrifice more than 12 MLAs, Fadnavis added.
