Recent news of Patriots QB Jarrett Stidham being put on the PUP list (undisclosed reason signals that he isn't ready to participate in the start of training camp practices. As a result, Stidham's roster spot is further at risk as the Patriots are expected to keep only three QBs on their 53-man roster. Given that named-starter QB Cam Newton and rookie first-round pick Mac Jones are locks to make the roster, the 24-year-old Stidham will have to battle veteran Brian Hoyer for the Patriots' No. 3 QB gig again this season. During last season, it seemed that the team had already trusted Hoyer more than Stidham, as they started the vet in Netwon's absence.
Now with what will be a slow start to training camp, will Stidham fall even more behind? Who should be Patriots QB 3 Stidham or Hoyer? Should Pats move on from Stidham, and go with the backup who has more experience in the league and can further help Mac Jones? Which of the two will help the Patriots more now and in the future? Patriots Beat host Evan Lazar and Alex Barth address it all in the following clip.
