Unlike common heat-based treatments, this treatment is safe for patients with darker skin tones because heat is not directly applied to the surface of the skin. Instead, the insulated needles project heat at only the deeper dermis. This helps treat the deeper layers of the skin without the risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Each Vivace treatment can cost around $800 to $900 in the Los Angeles area, although a package of three treatments is recommended.
