After returning from Tokyo Olympics, the players are receiving a grand welcome everywhere. The hockey team players received the welcome from Kurukshetra to Sonipat. After creating history in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, the players of the Indian men's and women's hockey teams reached Amritsar from Delhi a while back. After a grand welcome at the airport, these players went straight to the Golden Temple where they paid their obeisance. When the hockey team reached Amritsar, people welcomed the champions by performing Bhangra. Harmanpreet Singh, Bhupinder Pal Singh, Varun Kumar, Gurjant Singh, the stars of the men's hockey team that won the bronze medal in the Olympics, and Gurjit Kaur, player of the women's hockey team, was given a grand welcome on their arrival in Amritsar in the morning.
