The Taliban on Monday entered the compound of TOLO News in Kabul. According to TOLO News, Taliban fighters checked the weapons of security staff deployed at the compound and collected government-issued weapons. In just a week of armed conquest, the Taliban have taken control of the capital city of Kabul after Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. Videos shared on different social media platforms showed hordes of Afghan nationals jostling to climb into a plane to fly out of the country.
