Quick-thinking police in Surlingham, Norfolk, shot Simon Tait, 38, in the leg with a rubber bullet after he pointed his fake M16 assault rifle straight at the officer.
Tait - who was found to have 1,000 child porn images in a separate offence - had earlier stormed into his local pub dressed in combat gear on Sunday, May 23.
