New Zealand is under a three-day lockdown from August 17 night after identifying a single case of Covid-19. It is suspected to be the Delta variant, Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand said. Ardern said that the country, which had not recorded any cases for six months, could not take any chances with the \"game changer\" Delta variant. She said, “We have seen what can happen elsewhere if we fail to get on top of it. We only get one chance.” Ardern spoke about Australia's struggles to deal with the Delta variant for her \"short, sharp\" reaction to the case, which was found in a 58-year-old Auckland man. Auckland and the nearby Coromandel area are facing the restrictions for a week. New Zealand was praised by all for its handling of the coronavirus situation. Only 26 deaths were reported in the country with a population of five million. Watch the video to know more.
