The Quezon City General Hospital converted its chapel located inside the hospital compound to a COVID-19 ward in response to the growing demand for beds. The Philippines hit its biggest single-day increase of COVID-19 infections after the Department of Health reported 17,231 new cases on Friday, Aug. 20.
