अभी कुछ दिनों पहले तालिबान ने पूरे अफ़ग़ानिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड पर अपना कब्ज़ा जमा कर पूरी दुनिया में खलबली मचा दी। अफ़ग़ानिस्तान की क्रिकेट का भविष्य खतरे में दिखाई दे रहा है। जहा तालिबान ने कब्ज़ा अफ़ग़ानिस्तान में किया है वही इसका असर पड़ोसी मुल्क पाकिस्तान में भी देखने को मिला है। हालही में ECB और न्यू ज़ीलैंड क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने पाकिस्तान के दौरे से पहले उनकी सुरक्षा को ले कर सवाल उठाये है। आईपीएल के चलते न्यू ज़ीलैंड के मुख्य खिलाड़ियों पाकिस्तान पर जाने से इंकार कर दिया है। वही दूसरे खिलाड़ियों ने भी पाकिस्तान दौरे पर जाने पर आपत्ति जताई थी।
