Former Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has been arrested by the UP Police. A case was registered against him for abetting suicide by self-immolating women outside the Supreme Court, after which he was arrested. The victim had accused Thakur of hatching a criminal conspiracy. This action has been taken against Thakur, who has announced the formation of a new political party, on the basis of the investigation report of the SIT.

Former Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Amitabh Thakur को यूपी पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. उनके खिलाफ Supreme Court, के बाहर आत्मदाह करने वाली महिलाओं को आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने को लेकर मामला दर्ज किया गया था, जिसके बाद उनकी गिरफ्तारी हुई है. बता दें कि रेप पीड़िता ने ठाकुर पर आपराधिक षड्यंत्र रचने का आरोप लगाया था। नए राजनीतिक दल के गठन का ऐलान कर चुके ठाकुर के खिलाफ यह कार्रवाई SIT की जांच रिपोर्ट के आधार पर की गई है।
