The farmers’ unions have planned a rally in Haryana’s Karnal on September 7 to protest the August 28 lathicharge on farmers. The state administration on Monday issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in the district banning large gatherings. Additionally, the state government snapped Internet services on Monday from 12.30 pm till Tuesday midnight to maintain law and order.
