'This was the dreamy moment Anya Svrdlin was proposed to by her boyfriend, Patrick.

This heartwarming scene was caught on camera in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina during the couple's trip through the Balkans countries.

Even though the proposal and Anya's reaction to it make it look like everything was perfect in the world at the time, Patrick revealed that he encountered several roadblocks along the way.

He wrote: "I wanted to propose to Anya in Mostar, where she was born and raised until she moved to London with her parents. However, right before I was supposed to pop the question, we received the devastating news that Anya’s grandma had passed away. I had to call off the proposal and be there for Anya & her family."

"A few days passed, it was our last day in Mostar and my last chance to ask her to marry me! But that morning, I woke up with a migraine and nausea. Plus, I had forgotten that it was 38°C outside and I had worn a long-sleeve white shirt and was dripping."

"I went to the boat area and they had canceled everything for the rest of the day to prepare for the annual bridge diving World Championships for the following day. The proposal I had planned was not going ahead! I was very disappointed!"

"However, I still wanted to propose in Mostar. Luckily, I discovered a quiet and secluded spot with an incredible view of the old bridge. We went there and I asked Anya to take a photo with me, and the rest is what you see in the video!"
