TANCOO CALLS FOR INDEMNITY ON PROPERTY TAX

An Opposition MP is calling on the Government to provide an indemnity for land owners with regard to the Property Tax.

He did so as he made reference to an indemnity being sought from the Government by the NGC regarding an investment in Atlantic LNG Train 1.

The MP raised concern about a notice calling on land owners to file a valuation return, something the Finance Minister had said since last October that they would be required to do.
