The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Although there is a law to worship Ganesha on the Chaturthi Tithi of every month, but the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month has its own special significance. On this day, Lord Ganesha is worshiped with rules and regulations and his beloved Durva grass is also offered.

देशभर में गणेश चतुर्थी का पर्व बहुत धूमधाम से मनाया जा रहा है। वैसे तो हर मास की चतुर्थी तिथि को गणेश पूजा का विधान है लेकिन भाद्रपद मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि का अपना विशेष महत्व है। इस दिन नियम पूर्वक विधि-विधान के साथ भगवान गणेश की पूजा की जाती है और उनकी अतिप्रिय दूर्वा घास भी चढ़ाई जाती है। क्योंकि बिना दूर्वा या दूब घास के गणेशजी की पूजा पूरी नहीं होती है।
