Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the concern of vaccine racism at the global Covid-19 meet on Thursday in the backdrop of the UK government's travel advisory that mandated 10-day quarantine even for fully vaccinated Indians. Speaking at the Global Covid Summit, PM Modi said that international travel must be made easier through mutual recognition of vaccine certificates. He also hailed Indian-made vaccines.Meanwhile, Haryana minister Anil Vij has invited former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh to join the BJP. Hitting out at Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi-led government, Vij accused the Congress of helping Pakistani leaders and their aides in Punjab’s politics. He also said that removing Amarinder Singh from the chief ministership has a “deep-rooted anti-national dangerous conspiracy” aimed to aligning Punjab with Pakistan.
