Delhi lost their first wicket in the first innings in the form of Shikhar Dhawan for 18 runs. Gabbar was bowled by Karthik Tyagi for just 8 runs, Captain Rishabh Pant contributed 24 runs and he was bowled by Mustafizur Rahman, Shreyas Iyer played a good innings for the team and scored 43 runs in 32 balls , Iyer was stumped by Sanju Samson off Rahul Tewatia, Sanju Samson showed a surprising pace during this and sent Iyer back to the pavilion.
