As the United States opened its borders to Europeans, bookings have risen for commercial airline Air France-KLM. The massive partnership of two of Europe’s most storied airlines is looking to recapitalize, and it recently asked its shareholders for flexibility. The airline wants to balance its ledger and reduce debt as the travel industry emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, shares of Air France-KLM were down in early trading.
