महिलाओं की जिंदगी आसान नहीं होती। माहवारी, गर्भाधान, रजोनिवृत्ति और इसके अलावा जननांग में संक्रमण जैसे बातें उनकी जिंदगी का हिस्सा हैं। महिलाओं में यीस्ट इन्फेक्शन आम हैं और वह हर चार महिलाओं में से तीन को प्रभावित करते हैं. आमतौर पर 15 से 44 वर्ष के आयु वर्ग में। लेकिन ऐसा कतई नहीं है कि यीस्ट इन्फेक्शन केवल महिलाओं को ही होता है। पुरुष-महिलाओं दोनों के ही जननांगों में यह इन्फेक्शन हो सकता है।
