On Monday, Maharashtra witnessed a statewide Bandh over the Lakhimpur violence incident. The three-party Maharashtra Vikas Agadi (MVA) alliance including NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena came in support of farmers and has given a call for a statewide bandh to protest the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. In many states, there was a three-hour silent protest by the Congress party outside the Raj Bhavan today.
