The moment we set our eyes on ANI pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu strolling at the Dor beach in Haifa, we knew a flood of memes would overtake the Internet. What we, however, did not anticipate was news anchors swooning at the sight of Modi at a beach.

But before we get to that, let us warn you: do not be fooled by memes and fawning anchors, Modi was at the Dor beach for some serious business. He was visiting a water desalination unit that turns seawater into potable drinking water. The learnings from this visit and indeed an adoption of this technology could immensely benefit India’s vast coastline areas. ABP News, in fact, had a useful report focusing on this aspect of the beach visit. But that was not as much as what these anchors decided to lead with. Watch the video and you know what we mean.
