Martin Guptill has opened up about New Zealand’s heartbreaking loss to England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final, describing it as "the best and worst day" of his cricketing career. Guptill fielded brilliantly during the showpiece event, but had a poor tournament with the bat - totalling 186 runs in 10 innings with just one half-century. Guptill, who was not a part of New Zealand’s Test squad for their two-match series against Sri Lanka, will feature in the limited-overs leg, featuring three T20s, the first of which takes place on September 1 (Sunday).
