Today the festival of Bhai Dooj is being celebrated across the country. Today, on the occasion of this holy day, the doors of Kedarnath Dham have been closed for the winter for the auspicious time as per tradition. Every year the opening of the doors of the world famous Kedarnath Dham is fixed on Mahashiv Ratri festival. Whereas, the date of closing the doors of the temple is fixed on the Bhaiya Dooj festival according to the mythological tradition. The doors of Kedarnath were duly closed at 8 am today with worship.

आज देशभर में भाई दूज (Bhai Dooj) का पर्व मनाया जा रहा है। आज इस पावन दिन के मौके पर केदारनाथ धाम (Kedarnath Dham) के कपाट (Kedarnath Kapat) परंपरानुसार शुभ लग्न में शीतकाल के लिए बंद हो गए हैं। हर साल विश्व प्रसिद्ध केदारनाथ धाम के कपाट खुलने का समय महाशिव रात्रि पर्व पर तय होता है. जबकि, मंदिर के कपाट बंद होने की तिथि पौराणिक परंपरा अनुसार भैयादूज पर्व पर निर्धारित है. केदारनाथ के कपाट आज सुबह 8 बजे विधिवत पूजा अर्चना के साथ बंद हुए.
