Heavy rains, thunderstorms and storms have disrupted life in Tamil Nadu, so far 12 people have died in heavy rain-related incidents. Apart from Chennai, heavy rains are also continuing in Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Villupuram. The streets of the city have become waterlogged. Due to which the movement has become difficult. Many trees have been uprooted due to the strong storm. At present, the local administration is engaged in the work of removing the trees.

Chennai, के अलावा, चेंगलपेट, तिरुवल्लूर, कांचीपुरम और विल्लुपुरम में भी भारी बारिश जारी है.शहर की सड़कों पर जलभराव हो गया गया है. जिस वजह से आवाजाही मुश्किल हो गई है. तेज आंधी के कारण कई पेड़ उखड़ गए है. फ़िलहाल स्थानीय प्रशासन पेड़ों को हटाने के काम में जुटा हुआ है.
