Kent Police were called to the Co-Op in the village shortly after 3 o clock this morning after reports of thieves smashing the front of the store and stealing cigarettes and alcohol.

Officers launched an investigation and a police helicopter as well sniffer dogs were deployed to locate two suspects hiding a few miles from the area. Kristina Curtis went to see the damage.
