There are concerns the new Omicron COVID-19 variant could have arrived in Australia. Urgent genomic testing is underway in New South Wales, after two passengers who arrived in Sydney from Southern Africa tested positive for covid. Authorities are trying to determine if they have the new Omicron variant.
