On December 10, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat’s funeral took place with full military honours in Delhi. The last rites were performed by his two daughters at Delhi's Brar Square Crematorium. Several government leaders and military officials paid tribute. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present. A few hours earlier, Brigadier LS Lidder’s funeral also took place there. 800 service personnel took part in the funeral. The gun carriage which carried Gen Rawat was decked with flowers and accompanied by several civilians. Group Captain Varun Singh is the only survivor of the crash. He has been shifted to Bengaluru for treatment. Watch the video to know more.
