Four new patients have been diagnosed with the Omicron variant in Maharashtra, taking the total tally of infections from the new Covid-19 variant in the state to 32. As per the report given by the National Institute of Virology (NIV) on Wednesday, out of the four patients, two are from Maharashtra's Osmanabad and one patient each from Mumbai and Buldhana. The samples of all four persons were taken in the first week of December. Three of the patients are men and one is a woman with an age group between 16 to 67 years.
