This is the moment Italian firefighters airlift a hiker to safety after she injured herself on a mountain ridge.
The rescue took place on a mountain ridge in the southern Italian province of Matera on 19th December.
The fire department shared the footage on social media with the message: “Firefighters rescued an injured hiker today on a ridge near Gravina stream in the province of Matera.
“The woman was helped by a team and transported to hospital by a helicopter of the Bari flight department.”
