Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari dismissed allegations that flood relief efforts between the federal and state governments were not well coordinated.

In a press conference today, Amirudin said there were caught by surprise as the amount of rain which fell was equal to what would usually fall in a month.

He added that the state government had communicated with the federal government and requested immediate assistance to manage the floods.
