These days, there is heavy snowfall on the mountains, while the fog and cold waves in the plains are causing havoc in the cities. Snowfall is being witnessed in Sandakpur and Chatakpur areas of Darjeeling, the Chhatra Kund above Auli has completely frozen at this time. Here the mercury has fallen that the water has started freezing, although a large number of tourists are reaching here for the celebration of the new year.
