This is the moment a mum unwrapped her Christmas tree with last years decorations still in place - after preserving the ornaments in memory of her late son.
Heather Davis, 34, lost her son Kooper, 17, to suicide in December 2020, prompting her to preserve the tree which he'd helped her decorate just before he died.
The mum of five was heartbroken over the loss of her eldest child, and cherishes the memory of decorating the tree with him last Christmas.
So, to remember the good times she spent with her son, Heather wrapped the tree in cellophane to preserve the decorations that he'd placed on its branches.
In the time lapse video, Heather, her husband Justin, 37, and two of her children Kroy, 1, and Kharley, 6, can be seen removing the cellophane from the tree.
As they unwrap it, all the decorations from the previous year are unveiled in the exact same position as they were last Christmas.
Heather also bought another tree for friends and loved ones of her son to decorate with ornaments in Kooper's memory.
Heather, from Hobbs, New Mexico, said: "When I posted the video on social media I didn't want to get into explaining the whole situation so I just captioned it 'lazy mum'.
"I didn't realise the video would go viral and now everyone keeps calling me a lazy mum which I don't mind to much - but I think it's important now for people to know the truth.
"Kooper helped me buy and decorate that tree just before he passed away and that's something I'll hold on to forever.
"Unwrapping it for the first time this year was emotional but it was nice to feel close to him again.
"The tree will be staying this way for every Christmas to come so each year we can remember our beautiful son."
The video was filmed on December 2.
