Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Lav Agarwal on January 5 said that India has reported an over 6.3 times spike in cases in the last 8 days. “India has reported a more than 6.3 times increase in cases in the last 8 days. A sharp increase is seen in the case positivity from 0.79 per cent on December 29, 2021 to 5.03 per cent on January 5, 2022.”
