The British Muslim man who was shot dead after holding worshippers hostage at gunpoint in a Texas synagogue complained about wishing he had died in the 9/11 attacks.
The accused, Malik Faisal Akram, 44, of Blackburn, Lancashire, was labelled a "menace" for expressing his desire to be on one of the planes that destroyed the World Trade Center in 2001.
Meanwhile, Akram's ties to Pakistan are also being investigated, as he has been a frequent visitor to Pakistan.
