Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has sympathised with ministers who were on holiday during the recent floods saying their deputies should be empowered to play a bigger role.

He said if annual leaves aren't utilised at the end of the year, those leaves would end up being burned.

Tajuddin added that empowering deputy ministers would also prepare them for whe they are appointed a minister.
