Sisemba and Silapakki, Toraja's Fighting Traditions

Sila'pakki is only practiced in Baruppu' village in North Toraja.

Two groups of men will come into a fight against each other. They hand a weapon made of woven rattan.

Meanwhile, the women and kids are not allowed to join.

This tradition is meant for fun. However, many of these youngsters got the adrenaline and came into a serious fight. See more in the video.
