In a bid to put an end to the power tussle, the Congress has decided to announce its chief ministerial candidate in Punjab early.

Addressing a virtual rally in Jalandhar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the party will pick its chief ministerial candidate after discussing it with workers soon.

Aware of a growing rivalry between top guns Navjot Sidhu and CM Charanjit Singh Channi for the CM post, Rahul Gandhi said that the two leaders have assured him that whoever is chosen as the CM face, the other will support him.
