TPCC secretary K Srinivas said the Telangana government had not issued new ration cards for five years and many poor middle class people were facing problems in getting cheap essentials. Ayar handed over a memorandum of understanding to the Chief Ration Officer to issue ration cards.

తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ఐదేళ్లుగా కొత్త రేషన్ కార్డులు జారీ చేయకపోడంతో అనేక మంది పేద మద్యతరగతి ప్రజలకు చౌకగా నిత్యావసర వస్తువులు అందక అనేక సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని టీపిసిసి సెక్రెటరీ కె శ్రీనివాస్ తెలిపారు. రేషన్ కార్టులు జారీ చేయాల్సిందిగా ఛీఫ్ రేషనల్ అధికారికి ఆయర విజ్ఞాపన పత్రం అందజేసారు.
